The M103A2 Heavy Tank with Reliability Improved Selected Equipment (RISE) IR/White Light Spotlight - "D24" was an American tank developed during the Cold War era to provide heavy firepower to the US Army. It was equipped with a 120mm main gun and thick armor, making it capable of taking on enemy tanks and fortifications.
The M103A2 was first introduced in 1957 and was used extensively during the Vietnam War, where it played a vital role in providing support for ground troops. It was also deployed during the Gulf War in 1991, where it proved to be an effective weapon against Iraqi armor.
The "D24" was one of the many variants of the M103A2, featuring the RISE IR/White Light Spotlight that allowed for better visibility at night. It was operated by the US Army, but some were also exported to friendly nations such as Spain and Italy.
