The Nike LeBron 8 “Space Jam” is a special edition makeup of LeBron James’s eighth signature shoe with Nike Basketball that honors his lead role in “Space Jam 2.” A Summer 2021 colorway, the “Space Jam” variant of the popular Nike LeBron 8 coincides with release “Space Jam 2: A New Legacy,” the highly anticipated follow-up to the original “Space Jam” movie starring Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. The look follows the OG Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” sneaker created by Nike for Michael Jordan in 1995. Here, the modern, Nike LeBron 8 “Space Jam” features a similar design to the first “Space Jam” colorway in that its black base gives way to subtle and sometimes colorful contrasting details. An orange outline Swoosh appears on either side. Abstract decals and insignia unique to the “Space Jam 2” movie, including outlines of various Looney Tunes characters, appear on the mid-panel and collar. Orange-based “Toon Squad” branding replaces the Nike LeBron 8’s signature lion motif on the tongue. Underfoot, Nike outfits the sneaker with a glow-in-the-dark sole. Release date: July 23, 2021
