completely different

Sadly, Altra totally changed the sole/cushioning of the shoe. This is the same sole as the Escalante 3 when they updated the non-racer version. The upper is exactly the same as the original racer. If you liked the original, don't bother buying this one.

The sole is changed and they are so stiff

I love the Escalante racers but this new version isn't great. They are much too stiff. I had to return them.
