I have not seen one like the days of old for many years and I am pleasantly surprised with this product by Faberware. Not only do you get a cutting edge grater but you also get a convenient holding dish you set the grater on when grating. The holding container is the same size as a butter dish and holds 1 measured cup of grated cheese that you grate. Then it has a top included you can put on if you want to store it in the fridge until use. The grater has really sharp edges and won't be wearing out for a few decades if ever and the container that holds the grated cheese has a rubber skid proof seal on the bottom so it won't be slipping as you are grating your favorite cheeses a major plus for Faberware and customers. The grater has the traditional grates that come on standard graters for Colby cheeses and for parmesan on the back and on the side it has a slot for a cheese slicer to make cracker size slices to munch on. I think you will be very satisfied with this product and would make a great gift with a couple blocks of cheese and a bottle of wine in a basket and some snack crackers and a summer sausage. I am sure anyone will like this product and be glad they finally found a quality cheese grater to hold on to and set on the counter top.
