But these are just the basics: They are enough to get us started, but really only scratch the surface of Important Things to Know About God. This book begins with a look at the seven holy convocations instituted by God in Chapter 23 of the Book of Leviticus. These convocations occur twice each year in God's redemptive calendar; the first four in the Spring of the year, and the last three in the Fall. It is true these Festivals are historical events given to the Jewish people to help them celebrate significant parts of their cultural lives. They are also prophetic testimonies to the redemptive work which would be done by Jesus Christ at a time later in the future.
