Muck Women's Arctic Sport II Tall, Dk Olive/Herringbone

I live in the upper Great Lakes region where Lake Superior can cause it to snow 4 feet in one storm. I also have bird dogs who don't care what the weather is; they NEED to run in the woods every day. I have been searching for a boot that's comfortable enough for daily hikes through the snowy woods. These are excellent for the task. They are very warm—so warm that most days it's fine to skip the snow pants. They are so warm that I would not recommend wearing them when the temp is above 30F. Traction is quite good, maybe 4/5. My calves are 15” and the fit is good—snug but not tight. It's a stretchy shaft so I can also get my hands in there to keep my pants straight as I'm putting the boots on. If you have very narrow calves you may find these too generous. Cute these are not, but they're extremely functional if you have to trudge through deep snow all the time.

I bought these boots to replace my xtra tuffs for general use during the winter. Best purchase I've ever made - I didn't know what I was missing!! WARM, comfortable, great traction for going on walks on the ice/snow. If you need a solid pair of general "do it all" boots for winter, look no further than these Muck boots. Not to mention they are beautiful!!!!
