Recommend, but do the 1/4" color test snip.

I'm timid about coloring my hair but my golden blond had turned Madelain Kahn Grey at the temples (think Young Frankenstein) so my husband purchased 8N Medium Natural Blonde. I did a balayage of sorts, paying closer attention to the temples. Left it on 5minutes less than recommend and I'm thrilled with the results. The grey now appears as blond highlights and there's no line of demarkation where I started the coloring. The conditioner is fabulous. As I said, super timid about hair color, especially DIY jobs. This is a keeper and will definitely use again.
