Works well

Owned this NEC380 for 5 years now and it functions well. Perfect for those who have hardwood floors and don't like to vacuumed more than 20 minutes at a time.

Short Battery Life

After 3.5 years of occasional use, the battery died. Eureka's support offered a link to replacement parts, which was good but the battery is not cheap. I liked the vacuum but on top of the purchase price, it requires maintenance and an investment to continued ownership.

once good now doesn't hold a charge

I bought this to use at my mother's home. She was 90+ and needed something lightweight. It was great for a few years. However, on the ads for this machine, it shows that you can tilt it up to reach things above your head. I found that the suction and part that stores dirt then clogged up. It didn't work to hold it upside down to reach high places like ceilings, corners, etc. Now 5 years later the battery does not hold a charge. I took it apart to look at battery. Didn't see a quick fix. The only replacement was half of cost of a new machine. I don't think I can afford that option. I was happy with machine for a few years but now totally disappointed in product.
