Grand Tongo Insect Repellent Citrus + Sandalwood Bug Spray Pump 12 Hour Picaridin DEET Alternative Mosquito and Tick Spray

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this bug spray as part of the Stellar product testing panel. My whole family loves this spray! We use it on the kids and it keeps mosquitos away and it feels very safe and love the non toxic ingredients. The smell is not over powering, and it is fresh and light. The best part is the non greasy feel. You can put it on with over clothes and not worry it is going to ruin them. We use it almost every day everytime we go outdoors (pool, camp, outside grass play). It is a wonderful bug spray that everyone can enjoy.

I was excited to try it out, as living in a rural part of the country means we are always looking for effective and safe ways to keep the bugs off! This came just in time for the spring season where we are outdoors a lot - hiking, baseball games, camps, etc. First, I will start with the packaging, which is beautiful. I liked the design and the spray bottle which is easy to hold and use for application. The spray comes out nicely, allowing both big and little hands to get good coverage. The scent of citrus gives it a lovely touch - it doesn't smell like chemicals or too woodsy. We started using this immediately and I have to say have noticed a huge difference, especially in terms of keeping ticks away. The week before we started using it, I removed 3 ticks from myself or kids. In the two weeks since using this regularly, we haven't found any ticks during our nightly checks! That's a HUGE win for me. I also REALLY appreciate the way this spray covers a whole day - no need to re-apply. It hasn't ever felt like it became less effective over the course of the day either. It goes on, and I forget it's there - no residual sticky feel (which is rare!). My kids have also happily applied this every day before camp, which is normally a battle. Overall, I can't recommend this product enough. It's been really helpful at keeping the bugs away without making me smell or leaving that tacky residue. It works all day, eliminating the need to layer on several applications. 5 stars from this family!
