Geologically speaking, climate change is NOT a slow moving train wreck. It is also an accelerating effect with a significant lag component. Climate change will not be a photogenic event.

The story uses a combination of factual climate impacts and how they affect food supply, a projection of how society reacts to shortages in the supermarket, and how some evolve and adapt to a rapidly changing world and changing personal circumstances, and some do not.

How do you react when under extreme stress, when the world around is falling apart? Curl up in a ball? Denial or drugs? Or adapt to your circumstances, even if you don't like them.
