Worth the assembly time!

My fireplace arrived in just two boxes, not three- the larger of which was 160 pounds. After getting that inside, assembly was simple but took me about 5 hours, and I put one of the base pieces in backwards so two screws didn't line up correctly. Trust the diagrams %26 examine them carefully! The overall construction is not incredibly high quality- as far as I could tell all pieces are particle board with a painted white wood veneer, so the couple of times a screw slipped during installation it was obvious. However- for the size and aesthetics it is still a great value for the price. Also, note that the shelves are not going to fit many hardback books vertically except for the top shelves, and I had to put my books in diagonally to get them under the decorative lip and then turn them upright.

Fancy and warm

My side, wood piece came cracked and broken in half. I had to fix it in order to put the fireplace together. Besides that, this is the most beautiful convenient and warm little fireplace. It completely changed the look of my house and even though the board was broken. I still recommend it. Took me about three hours to put together alone. The instructions were pretty great.
