It's firm!
I ordered this couch knowing it would be firm because I read other reviews. Do not underestimate the firmness! I like firm couches so that wasn't a problem for me. I haven't tried the sleeper bed yet but overall it looks pretty great and is good quality. It seems really sturdy. I will say that the arm rests are basically useless, so if you like couches that you can lean on the arms, this likely isn't the one for you. Throw pillows might help. You may also want to get an ottoman or coffee table to prop your feet up on. My husband and I are both 5'7" and our feet barely touch the ground comfortably. It's my personal opinion that this wouldn't be a great couch for regular use but for our needs, it works perfectly.

This was a great purchase at a very affordable price. The only thing I had to assemble was the 4 legs which was such a relief. Its a very sturdy couch that comes with a firm queen sleeper/sofa mattress. Ive been sleeping on it for 1 week now and I have no complaints. Great purchase!

The price was unbeatable - purchased during a markdown and couldn't be more pleased with the quality, comfort (a little stiff, but that didn't deter napping and the sofa will most definitely soften over time), and size. It fit perfectly in a 515 sq ft apartment and with the sleeper pull-out (which does make the sofa heavier than it appears) it's perfect for visiting guests. Very pleased with this purchase and it changed our minds about ordering furniture not only on-line but via walmart.com. Subsequently we ordered a few more items for the living room - including the chair pictured.
