Replacement NAS, so smooth!

year, a surprise upgrade wasn't 'really' in the budget). Though the spec differences between the 2 are very minimal, the CPU usage is dramatically lower on this one (the threading works differently between the chips from what I've read which must be why). All in all - I was already a Synology fan and fully expected I'd love the 1821 and I am not disappointed. Between the hardware (small footprint, longevity) and the seamless migration of my data I'd recommend for any with an 1815 (or any with 8 or fewer bays) in need of upgrade, or a new user stepping into home/small office NAS for the first time.
