- Patco 5560 Removable Protective Film Tape combines a moderate tack, low adhesion acrylic adhesive with a conformable, durable polyethylene film backing that won't damage or leave residue on most surfaces. It's suitable for general protective masking on glass, metals and plastics that must be temporarily protected during assembly or shipping.
- It's highly conformable and is resistant to abrasion, solvents and moisture. It can be easily and cleanly removed. Patco 5560 removable tape provides just enough tack to remain adhered during a transfer process, yet since it's slightly less adhesive than blue painters tape, it is easily removable without leaving any sticky residue.
- Tape rolls are typically cut to standard tape industry metric-cut sizes - or approx 5% narrower than the nominal size (i.e. 24mm per 1-inch of nominal width ordered).
- Adhesive: acrylic. Carrier/Backing: low density polyethylene (LDPE) film. Thickness: 5.5 mils (carrier, adhesive) 1 mils (adhesive) 4.5 mils (carrier). Adhesion: 12 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel)

Patco 5560 Removable Protective Film Tape is a clean removal tape which combines a durable and conformable polyethylene film backing with a moderate tack, low adhesion acrylic adhesive which will not leave residue or damage most surfaces. it is used for general protective masking applications on plastics, glass, and metal that require temporary surface protection through assembly or shipping. Patco 5560 is highly conformable; abrasion, moisture and solvent resistant; and removes cleanly and easily. This tape offers moderate tack which allows it to stay adhered during a shipping process, yet since it offers low adhesion (slightly less than that of a blue painters tape) it should still remove cleanly. Please note Patco 5560 is the same product as Patco 5540 - the different numbers were used to help Patco differentiate between the auto glass retention market (5540) and the general surface protection market (5560). Also note that this product is not a static-cling-only type tape like the discontinued 3M 2112C was. Also this tape is not crystal clear like a book repair tape; it is more transparent to translucent and is designed so end users can easily identify the tape in order to remove it.
