Duke Cannon Dry Hold Texture Hair Putty for Men, Medium Hold, No Shine, 2 oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this Duke Cannon Texture Putty for a few days and honestly I'm impressed. The texture is really smooth and easy to scoop out, not too sticky or greasy. It spreads well through my hair and gives a nice medium hold without making it feel stiff or crunchy. I like that it has a matte finish (no shine), so it looks more natural instead of overly styled. It holds my hairstyle pretty well throughout the day, but I can still run my fingers through my hair without it feeling heavy. Another thing I noticed is that it doesn't leave much residue, which is a big plus. The size is small but perfect for travel or throwing in a gym bag. Overall, it's a solid everyday styling product if you want something simple, clean, and natural-looking.

Anything glossy or firmer just looks bad after a few hours and makes it impossible to leave on for too long for me. Previously I switched over to either Oldspice hair wax or brylcreem and after trying this Duke Cannon texture putty I’ve decided to switch over. Why? Because it is very lightweight, smells good, doesn’t have weird chemicals I can’t pronounce, and holds dry from the moment it goes on. I can feel it 8hrs later too. It also doesn’t flake if I leave it on overnight and doesn’t make me guilty about doing that. I already like some of Duke Cannon’s other men’s products but wasn’t expecting to like their hair putty as much as I do. 5/5 product, gents. Just wet the hair a little before you apply.
