Bad Thread Pattern

Seems like good quality, but the 3/8 female fitting has the wrong threads. I'm adding a Y-splitter and another shutoff valve to my outdoor grill(s) setup. I needed another hose. The male end fits correctly into the attached quick disconnect and my own quick disconnects. I tried attaching a male 3/8" threaded piece into the female end, and it won't thread. I have tried several fittings, then tried them on other hoses. They don't work on this one, but work on others. Taking it back today.
