This is my review of the Better Homes & Gardens Reactive Green Cereal Bowl. This is a single bowl, but it is part of the stoneware line with that gorgeous reactive glaze. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces of dishware. The Reactive Green color is absolutely stunning, it's not a flat solid green; the glaze has this organic, handcrafted look with subtle variations in shade from deeper emerald to lighter jade tones, plus some subtle speckles and drips that make each bowl feel one-of-a-kind. No two are exactly alike, which gives it that artisanal, high-end vibe.
The bowl itself is a perfect cereal size, about 6 inches across and deep enough to hold a generous portion of cereal + milk without spilling everywhere, or great for oatmeal, chips, soup, ice cream, or even salads as a side dish. It has a nice weight to it, smooth rim for comfortable eating, and the reactive glaze is glossy on the inside for easy wiping but matte-ish on the exterior for a modern, textured feel. It stacks well if you get multiples, and the color pops beautifully against white counters or wooden tables, I've been using it daily and it coordinates with my other green accents without clashing.
Durability-wise, it's held up amazingly: dishwasher safe (top rack, no issues with fading or chipping after several cycles), microwave safe for reheating leftovers, and no cracks or crazing so far. The glaze is food-safe and doesn't stain from tomato sauce or berries like some lighter ceramics do. I love how it feels premium in hand, warm when you pour hot food in, and the reactive effect really shines under light, almost like it's alive with depth.
Some of the best features of it that make it stand out are its unique reactive glaze in that beautiful green, adds personality to every meal. The generous capacity and depth for hearty breakfasts or snacks. Its sturdy stoneware build that's everyday tough but elegant. It's also easy to clean and maintains its luster, no dulling or scratching easily.
This Reactive Green cereal bowl has made mornings more enjoyable, it's pretty enough to leave out on display, functional for daily use, and just brings a little joy to the table. If you're updating your dishware and want something fresh and artistic, grab one (or a few), you won't regret it!
