Fake Plastic Rattan
I was extremely disappointed in the "woven" material of this bed. The description of "Hand woven Rattan" had me believing that it was actually rattan. In reality, it is some sort of strange plastic material that is colored like rattan. As soon as I opened the box and saw the material, I did not even attempt to assemble the bed as I knew it was not what I was looking for. The "woven" material is not aesthetically pleasing at all and just screams cheap and fake. The price should have clued me in but I thought I'd risk it. I'm shocked that the bed had such good reviews and that I did not see any mention of the poor quality material that makes up the headboard, footboard and side rails.
