Tankini: Comfortable, runs smaller than expected

This Tankini looked great on. I wear a 'large' in shirts but due to sizing measurements from the manufacturer, I ordered a 3XL. Crazy, right? The tankini fit like a smallish large size. It was a little smaller than I was comfortable with so my friend bought it from me--she's about 5 lbs smaller. I believe the bra part measured as a 'large' person would wear but I felt the overall top could've been a little looser for my middle section not to reveal my little extra poundage. But overall, it's a beautiful suit. The shorts were a little short for my taste.

This bathing top must be for someone who is 6 ft. tall! Nice material but way to long! I am 5'1 and the top lands just above my knees! The shorts are nice though.
