The McKesson dorsal night splint is designed to hold the foot in a neutral position during sleep, thereby helping to alleviate the morning pain and discomfort associated with plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. It may also be used for other conditions where stabilization of the ankle in a neutral position is desired. The splint works by stretching toes upward to provide dorsiflexion, while its open-heel design helps reduce heat retention so users can sleep more comfortably. This design is lightweight and sturdy in its one-piece flexible shell with hook-and-loop fasteners. The low-profile splint is designed to be less bulky compared to traditional boot styles that limit users to sleeping on their backs. Ideal for stomach or side sleepers, the split allows for easy nighttime movement. A soft, padded thermoplastic dorsal shell helps hold the foot in a neutral, 90-degree position, providing a moderate stretch and optimal comfort. Strong plastic support is contoured to fit along the shin and top of the foot. It's easy-to-apply, two-strap design secures shut with contact closures at the calf and foot and allows for minimal, safe ambulation as needed (not recommended for everyday walking). There is a slide-in foot loop to easily initiate application. The size large/XL splint is unisex and designed to fit on the right or left foot for a wide range users according to shoe size (Male: 9-14; Female: 10-15). For cleaning purposes, wipe with warm water and hang to dry.
