Didn't work well with soap making!

I've been experimenting with making my own liquid soap. I've seen many people recommend this product to thicken liquid soap, so I decided to give it a try. The product is finely milled and easy to work with. Getting it to mix well with other products is a challenge. It's affordable but it didn't work well for my needs. While it thickened my soap, it ruined the efficiency of my soap. The soap wouldn't lather and the consistency was weird and slimy. I did not enjoy this product.
