Haier 7200 BTU Portable Air Conditioner for 350 Sq ft with Remote Included (10000 BTU ASHRAE)

Bought as a backup unit for use if the house AC breaks down. Tested and it works fine. Noise level could be lower, but all these units in this price range make similar compressor noise. Easy to use. We bought this to replace an ancient AC we occasionally need in the kitchen. Everything about this new AC reflects quality, and it puts out a large amount of cool air. I had fabricated a custom window insert for the old one that I was able to modify to accommodate the larger discharge tube of the new AC, and I managed (just barely) to stuff the 6" discharge tube into the insulated sleeve we had purchased for the old one, so my installation is very efficient. We prefer to run the AC in continuous fan mode so it keeps on blowing air when unit reaches the set temp and the compressor shuts off. After about a week, I checked the drain to see if any condensate had accumulated, but noting came out, so the evaporative discharge feature seems to work well. Our thinnest trays were to thick to fit under the drain valve, so I had to put small planks under the casters when I tried to drain it. The unit is small and not very heavy, so this is not hard to do, but it is a little annoying. This would be my only complaint. And the price is excellent.
