Universal Tailgate Decal — 67.75" × 25"

Give your truck a unique tailgate that stands out. This is a 67.75" × 25" universal decal designed to fit most trucks. We do not offer model-specific sizing. For the right result, measure your tailgate at its widest height and width. The decal must be larger than your tailgate in both dimensions so it can cover fully and be trimmed cleanly after install.

Install instructions:

Recommendation: This is a two-person install. If you’re not confident working with vinyl, contact a local professional installation service (vehicle detailing or graphics installation).

1) Prep the surface

Remove all emblems, lettering, or any uneven surfaces from the tailgate. You may remove the handle if you prefer. Clean away dust and debris with a mild, non-solvent cleaner, then ensure the surface is completely dry. No wet installation.

2) Stage the decal

Place the decal design-side down on a flat surface. Peel off the paper backing carefully, making sure the vinyl doesn’t stick to itself or other surfaces.

3) Position and tack

Holding the vinyl taut without stretching, pull it into place and affix the decal to all four corners of your tailgate.

4) Smooth it down

Pad a credit card or driver’s license with a soft cloth to make a smoothing tool. Starting from the center and moving outward in all directions a little at a time, press the vinyl flat and work out the air.

5) Fix bubbles or creases

Go slowly. If a bubble or crease forms, gently peel back the vinyl (once the center is firmly in place, the corners can be peeled back), then press it down again, starting from the spot where the bubble formed and moving outward.

6) Heat if needed (optional)

You may use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the vinyl around difficult curves, ridges, or other irregular shapes. This step is optional, not required.

7) Trim the excess

Once everything is fully installed, use a sharp X-Acto blade or other razor/hobby knife to trim the excess vinyl around all edges, handles, lights, and any cutouts.
