almost that was advertised

I have an 11 mile commute. Original equipment was Continental Contac tires. Fair traction, good mileage but horrible road noise. Noticed rot about 45,000 miles. Replacements were Destination LE. Better on all parameters. After 70,000 miles, even though I could have driven more, I replaced them with the excellent Dueler H/L Alenza Plus 235/70R16. So so quiet. wet and dry traction was excellent. Handled the potholes in NYC like a charm. My only gripe is that the mileage improvement is not as stated. I am getting a slight 4MPG decrease. As yet to be resolved by Bridgestone/Firestone dealer. Otherwise worth the money spent!

Most satisfactory tire I've yet owned!

I've known about the Alenza for quite a while, but didn't have an SUV. My XC90 came with top-line Michelins in nearly-new condition, and they were appallingly bad. I took the opportunity to swap to the Alenza Plus despite the amount of wear remaining, & I couldn't be much more satisfied without defying the laws of physics. They've now been through 2 Midwest winters without any difficulty (shrugged off 8" of snow like it was barely there), summer jaunts down the highways, winding country roads, & visiting family & friends down long gravel drives (& sometimes no roads at all), & they've been flawless. Quiet, comfortable, predictable, & confidence-inspiring whether taking a highway cloverleaf at highway speeds or pulling stuck vehicles out of snow banks, these are supremely satisfactory. That level of confidence is worth the cost of purchase alone, & knowing that these tires are rated to last me another 70K miles is just mind-boggling. Keep up the great work, Bridgestone! I look forward to whatever will replace these (something 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rated, I presume) as those will almost certainly be my next tires.

Why Did I Wait So Long?

I just "dumped" my Cooper tires in favor of the Bridgestone Alenza Plus tires - same size and rating. I immediately noticed a quieter, more comfortable ride, and better steering control. I have been trying to get the last few miles out of the old tires (and I was still about a year away from wearout), but I now realize I should have made this switch a long time ago. It took me a while, but I finally came to my senses. Thanks Bridgestone!
