E-flite RC Airplane Habu SS Super Sport 50mm EDF Jet BNF Basic Transmitter Batteries and Charger Not Included with SAFE Select and AS3X EFL02350 Airplanes B&F Electric

I've only flown a few EDF jets, with most of my EDF flights on a 64mm Stinger, but the 50mm Habu is, hands down, the easiest to fly EDF I've flown. With a 3S 1800mAh battery, I have between 20% and 30% battery left after a 4 minute flight with the landing gear on (desert flying field, so no grass to smooth out a belly landing). She carries the keychain camera nicely for an enjoyable video record of the flight, and I would likely get a bit more time from the battery without the camera on the plane, but it's fun to be able to share the flight with friends on line. The Habu has respectable glide characteristics for an EDF jet, and after three flights, I have not noticed any bad handling issues. The decoration scheme is good for in-flight visibility, and it's not difficult to keep track of orientation in the air. I programmed in the thrust reversing, but so far have not needed to use it to slow down after landing (advantage of a decent length runway and no tall foliage to avoid on approach). I suspect this plane is going to end up one of my favorites to take out to the field, and I've ordered a second canopy/hatch to do a little mods on to hold an FPV camera. EFlite has a winner with the 50mm Habu. It's a great first EDF jet for an intermediate pilot looking to try out jets, while capable enough to still be fun for more experienced pilots.

Great First Jet for people with prop experience. Very forgiving with a predictable stall characteristic. It can be flown fast, or slow. This was my second plane ever, and I was able to fly it without the use of SAFE. I pulled the removable landing gear to be able to belly land it on astroturf at my local park. If you wan to make the jump over to EDF's this is a must have for your hanger!
