I know I could find third party batteries for less but then again have you seen any of the reviews when someone does. No guarantees third party batteries are going to either work or are going to last. I had my original OEM batteries for almost three years and the only reason I had to replace mine was because I accidently dropped one on cement from about five feet when taking it out of my trimmer and it would no longer charge. I've dropped before but never that hard or far before.
