Just had this fan installed today and it looks great - just like the picture only better. It's a beachy/shabby-chic style with gold in the faux grains of wood. Not only are the paddles painted with the wood grain look but the base is also lightly painted to match (the base is not pure white). Came well packaged with no missing or dented pieces. Electrician didn't say anything about the install, but I'll take that as a good sign since I had two of these installed at the same time (one of the darker colored ones in a different bedroom). I also can't speak to its longevity, obviously, but they seem sturdy (pieces are of decent quality and the fan doesn't make any noise), they put out an good amount of air even at their lowest setting, and the remotes work. Based on what I've seen I'd highly recommend.

I had some reservations about this fan but once I got it installed I like the look and quality of it. The remote control and 6 fan speeds are awesome. I am also amazed at how quiet it is. It does not shake, have any rattles. It was pretty simple to assembly but a little awkward by yourself. The instructions did not include the remote control installation. It's pretty easy to figure it out but you have to put the control box inside the mounting bracket the fan hangs from. I also recommend putting the remote control box antenna outside the metal ceiling cover.
