If you like creepy films, this is a must own.

I first saw this film as a child and it disturbed me to the point that I've been obsessed with finding it as an adult for the last 13 years. I was very happy when I saw it is now on DVD. This isn't really a great movie in terms of acting or the quality of the director or anything along those lines. However it's an original script/story and it's a somewhat disturbing movie that I have always enjoyed.

An average movie with an average DVD release.

"The Reflecting Skin" is a unique movie; it is almost nonchalantly disturbing. It features pretty good performances by the main cast, especially Viggo Mortenson and Lindsay Duncan. It's not the most entertaining movie in the world, and the ending puzzled me for a little while, but it's still worth watching. This DVD release, however, is far from exemplary. Featuring absolutely no special features of any kind (to my knowledge, it doesn't even have subtitles), and mediocre-to-average audio/visual quality, this DVD does not exactly make a great gift (unless you know with fair certainty that the person you're giving the gift to already likes the movie). And, unfortunately, this is the only DVD release of "The Reflecting Skin" that I know of. Personally, I'd recommend this movie--just not this DVD.

very slow movie... and the only reason I bought it was that I am getting a collection of movies with Viggo Mortensen in them. It was strange, morbid in parts and stupid in others. Nobody caught the real culprits..... sad.
