Planting time: Hostas are suitable for planting in spring or autumn. The climate in these two seasons is relatively mild, with moderate temperature and humidity, conducive to the growth and rooting of hostas.
Hostas prefer fertile, loose, and well-drained soil.
Spacing can be controlled at about 20 - 30 cm, with a row spacing of about 30 - 40 cm. Place the hosta bulbs or seedlings in the planting hole, ensuring the top of the bulb is level with the soil surface, then gently fill the soil and compact the surrounding soil.
Lay a layer of clay granules or broken tiles at the bottom of the pot to enhance drainage. Then fill in an appropriate amount of soil, plant the hosta bulbs or seedlings in the pot, filling the soil to about 2 - 3 cm from the edge of the pot, and gently compact the soil.
During the growth period of hostas, regular fertilization is needed to provide sufficient nutrients.
