Edelman power steering pumps are NEW and reliable - not a refurb. Fit and function are superb. Will work with a variety of PS fluids, but usually recommend the brand name of the vehicle type. This one was for 2009 Subaru Outback. Loosen the alternator first and move it to the side. There are 2 bottom bolts (passenger side is difficult). Once removed from bracket (with pry bar and light tapping), remove three bolts (long one from the back and 2 torx 40s). To reassemble with new unit - put the bracket in a vise, then try to expand it, also light tapping with a blunt instrument with lubricant, to squeeze it into the tight bracket. Once assembled, Lightly put in the rear bolt into engine first, then line up the 2 bottom bolts.
