Our Shocks are adjustable in 3 ways:

1. Preload / Ride height - By adjusting the preload collar, this will put more or less pressure on the spring which will impact how far the spring will travel on impacts, the more preload the less travel. This also effectively adjusts the height the vehicle will sit. It is important that the vehicle's front sits 1/2" to 1" higher than the rear. WARNING: Excessive preload may result in coil-bind leading to spring failure. Do not exceed a maximum preload of 1600N.

2. Compression Damping - This is adjusted by turning a dial at the top of the shock, this changes the speed at which the shock will compress by adding damping, you are slowing down the compression of the shock effectively making it slower. Removing damping will do the opposite.

3. Restoring / Rebound Damping - this is how quickly the shock will rebound from an impact, it is the opposite motion of the compression damping, again adding more damping makes the shock rebound slower.

Maintenance:

It is important to perform regular maintenance on your shock absorbers to ensure proper performance and prevent excessive wear.
To avoid excessive corrosion and damage, shocks should be cleaned of mud and debris regularly in all areas.
Threads should be cleaned of mud and other abrasive materials before adjusting preload.

Service Recommendation:

The specific service requirement will depend on the driving application, conditions, and frequency of use of the vehicle. It is recommended that the oil in your shock absorber is changed between 100-200 hours of operation under normal wear, and sooner in racing conditions. Oil type recommended by the manufacturer is Mobil 5W or Mobil 10W fork oil.
