PLAYSTEAM Electric Rubber Band Winder

Big fan of rubber band props since a Kid. I mainly bought this kit to get the winder which seems to be hard to come by these days. Pretty planes, but overly complex assembly IMHO if you plan on using them in class with young ones. And when came time to fly them, they mostly just nose-dived immediately into the ground even after tweaking the lift on the wings. I've never had any luck with these foam-constructed planes and that fail streak continues with these. They look great, and the winder is acceptable, but just go get you some Guillow balsa prop jobs if you can find them. Getting harder and harder to find decent balsa planes at a decent price point these days. I miss the times when I could snag a plane for a summer day for $1 at the Big Star or a similar supermarket. Times change. Rubber band-powered planes are still great fun and a great learning opportunity for kids. Just not these. Srry.

Assembly is too complicated for young students. Doesn't fly worth a dang. Looks neat, but they nosedived right into the dirt no matter what we tried.
