Fabric thin, color bleeds upon washing

Fabric is ok. Not 100% cotton (which I knew when I purchased it) but it is pretty thin (which I did not know). Also, the red part of this towel IMMEDIATELY bled onto the entire white part upon first washing, which is the thing that upsets me the most. I washed it in cold water. See attached pic with the (now pink) towel against a white pillowcase so you can see the color bleed.
