It looks very nice however the lid does look like it could break easily. It does work very well. I bought an AC adapter just to find out that if you use an ac unit must be plugged in all the time. The other trash cans we've had, you plug them in and they charge and then you unplug them until they need to be charged again. So I think we will just use batteries.
