I love, love, love this set! They are so pretty. They plug in %26 have a timer remote on the cord. You can change the brightness %26 set timer for 2,4 or 8 hrs, then it automatically shuts off. Or, if you prefer you can just turn it on %26 off manually. It makes a great little nightstand light with fragrances candle without the risk of falling asleep while a candle is lit. I now have 3 %26 I have gifted a set. Great gift to yourself or for someone else. I believe they would be considered gender neutral, but I see this as being more appealing to women.
