DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE PETS OR SMALL CHILDREN It's a good looking trundle bed for the price, however, this bed cost me an emergency trip to the vet when my cat ran underneath and knocked the mechanism down. I'm sure it was a fluke but if you have pets or small children I wouldn't want to risk it. My cat ran underneath and hit the mechanism that goes up/down for the trundle to pop up to a full height and it collapsed on her, trapping her between two heavy metal bars. Very concerning that an 8lb cat (very small for a cat) could cause it to collapse? Not sure what that says about the engineering. I'm just thankful it happened when no one was sleeping on it. Please do not waste your money or your peace of mind.
