Nice for indoors and outdoor, as described.
I bought form my living room/studio apt. It will be used by my 80lb dog so I wanted something with that in mind. It looks just like photo. It feels very padded - comfortable under feet. As far as bare skin, while it is not rough - it is not indoor rug soft. It has a plastic fiber feel to it that disappointed me, HOWEVER, I love the rug. I bought 5x7. It lays nicely and stays in place on hardwood flooring. I would recommend.
