Purchased this item to go beside my door for a place to sit while removing your shoes and it works perfectly. Since most of my decor is black I also purchased a coffee table that matches it perfectly to bring the look together. Took about an hour to assemble. My only complaints are that I wish it was a little deeper as the shoes (men's 9.5) stick out a little, and it could stand to be a little sturdier. All in all it does the job.
