I'll divide this review into two parts: those who have experience with murals AND those who have never hung a mural. THOSE WHO HAVE **NEVER** HUNG A MURAL: -unless you buy a basic wood pattern that is VERTICAL you are going to need to be a little creative because no mural ever lines up 100% perfectly. Some are easier than others. This means you should buy a larger mural than needed so you can cut pieces out of the leftovers and apply. For example, you may need to cut a branch or some leaves out to hide a seam, etc. - yes, its says Removable BUT it's not really "repositionable". You only have 2 tries at repositioning before it essentially becomes scrap, so you cant really "play around" with it - YOUR PANELS MUST OVERLAP!!!!!!! - your panels will shrink over a weeks time, so overlap as much as you can - YOUR CEILING AND MOULDING LIKELY ARE NOT STRAIGHT. You have to be able to visually figure out where "lined up" is. Maybe if you own a new construction home you will be ok, but I'm not sure. Anyways, dont cut your pieces based on a measurement because it wont work. - a mural like this requires 2 people and about 2 hours. I think it took us a little over and I've laid about 9 large murals. - you'll need very basic tools. We use a tape measure, painters tape, a pencil and a new razor blade. Patients is the most important tool. - if you have never done a mural I would truly suggest learning on a basic vertical pattern. Weathered wood pattern is great. FOR PEOPLE WHO ***HAVE**** DONE MURALS - This was one of the easiest - if I recall correctly, it was about 1/2 inch overlap on most panels. One was around 1/4 inch - one panel simply didnt line up at all. We had to improvise using scrap. We cut a few leaves from the unused scrap to hide the only major imperfection. -excellent quality materials. Thick vinyl. - mural is NOT blurry cheap crap when viewed up close - can be repositioned if you catch the error FAST. we only lay about 3 inches at a time with one person unrolling while the other is at the top (smoothing and positioning). If you catch the error before you are 14" down you can safely lift and restick. If you get past 24" and need to redo, good friggin luck. You may have to improvise or order a new panel - NOT THIS MURAL, but on my 4th or so purchase from this seller i did indeed screw up a panel and they did indeed sell me another at a large discount. Thank God.
