I did not realize the nice, new, comfy shoes I bought was lacking in arch support until my heels were in so much pain. after some research decided to order Dr Scholls plantar fasciitis insoles. Great relief! I will order again. I wear size 9 shoes, but I didn't need to trim the insoles...so I would recommend: measure before cutting.
