This is the second in a series of five previously unreleased recordings by the master of qawwali, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The greatest singer on the Indian subcontinent of his generation, he kept the ancient style of devotional music called qawwali alive throughout his career, maintaining its integrity and widening its circle of fans to include many Westerners.

This album represents Nusrat in a traditional qawwali environment, featuring repetitive tabla drumming and hand clapping, as well as the call-and-response typically used between the soloist and a small chorus of singers. All three tracks, "Shala Sookhan Diyan Nindran," "Jadon Yad Sajan teri Aayi," and "Main Chithi Panwan sajanan Noon," are blissful and compelling.
