Only drawbacks are the lid has to be held in place with a rubber band to stay on, and the filter floats to the top unless you secure it with weights or magnets. I'm going tp glue a tile to the bottom of the thing to see if that holds it in place. Still, despite the aggravation, it's better than other filters on the market.
