I lived my whole life believing there was only one species in the world: humans. Three years before my story began, werewolves came out of hiding. We all woke up that morning to an emergency television broadcast from the president.
"Good morning, this is an emergency message to all our fellow Americans. It has come to our attention that we are not alone in this universe. There is another species out there that resembles us, but it is not us. I am here to let you know they come in peace. Their leader is here with us today to let us know they mean us no harm."
The camera zoomed in on the man next to the president, and his eyes changed color from green to a dark brown. Then, as the camera backed away, we saw the transformation of the wolf.
"I am a werewolf, my name is Gregor, we may look scary, but I will tell you this - if you believe we have come to hurt you, that will not happen if you keep peace, so will we. We will follow all your laws and rules as long as it doesn't conflict with our beliefs."
The broadcast ended.
