I looked and looked in the stores for an aluminum 9 x 9 pan with a cover and couldn't find it . The aluminum pans hold up so much better. Those with other finishes get scratches from utensils and look nasty. I've had a 9 x 9 aluminum pan for years, so when my daughter had this on her Christmas wish list, I knew what kind of pan I wanted to purchase for her. I finally found it online and ordered it from Walmart. Quick service and no shipping fees!

Buy the Best and Use It Forever

Very sturdy pan. The pan is deep enough to hold cake from a boxed mix and still have clearance to add frosting. Great size for brownies and cornbread, too. The lid is a convenient feature ... no more plastic wrap sticking to the frosting. It has gotten so hard to find sturdy pans without any coating. I'm loyal to the Nordic Ware brand because their pans last forever and they are made in the US.
