Happy to have this pan.
Although this pan is surprisingly light weight compared to the heavier pans in my Nordicware collection, I am happy with the pineapple upside down cake that I baked yesterday. I used the recipe that came with it, and it was pretty enough for a magazine. Next time, I will reduce the sugar, as it was too sweet for our taste. It has delicious brown sugar added with the pineapple, and It doesn't need all that sweetness in the cake too, in my humble opinion. Sure, you can use any round cake pan, but the built-in indentations of the pineapple slices gives the pretty results of the pineapple being a little higher on the cake. Sort of a 3-D effect, with pretty results. I am very pleased to have this pan.
