Recommend but be ready for a in-depth install

This 3t unit runs great for my 1350sqr ft living home down here in Louisiana with no shade. I will say the install manual could use some better description when it comes to the positions of the DIP switches. My installer and I had to call tech support to figure out the settings needed to get this unit to run. Also if you see 02 on the air handler circuit board that means it's running in low Y1 mode and 03 means it's in high Y2. Make sure your thermostat settings are set correctly. We had an issue with my settings not being set properly thus locking the unit in Y1 and not kicking into Y2. We opted to wire it as 24v but I have plans to switch to the ACIQ thermostat soon. The worst thing i can say about the design of the unit is those dumb screw connectors for the copper line sets. I wish ACIQ would just make them sauter connections instead. I know they try to make it more DIY friendly by doing the screw connections but the issue is they leak so easily and TBH if a homeowner is DIY their own HVAC system install then I'm sure that same person has the capability to sauter some copper pipe. Other than the screw connections the unit runs great, it's super quiet and IMO the paint scheme on the heat pump looks great. ACIQ and HVAC DIRECT tech support are both great but i would recommend just calling ACIQ directly themselves. ACIQ and HVAC DIRECT are owned by the same company and both their systems are well integrated for customer support, It was so easy with ACIQ that all i had to do was provide him my hvacdirect order number and he could see everything. I do hope ACIQ will provide temp. Sensors you can place around your house to better monitor hot/cold spots, that's going to be the only downside going away from my google nest thermostat.

Nice Heat Pump System

We recently purchased the ACIQ Extreme+ 4 Ton 17.4 Seer2 Heat Pump System to replace an ageing 4 Ton Coleman A/C and Furnace. We had the system professionally installed and it has been working great so far to keep us cool during the hot summer. We live in a warm desert climate so we were not concerned about removing the gas furnace and using a heat pump for both cooling and heating as we have mild winters. HVAC Direct was most helpful in meeting the specifications for the new system, although we did purchase the extra warranty - just in case.

Good

Please, ask me in 15 years, if we are all still alive. My last system lasted 27 years with just a capacitor and contactor in the condenser. Now I have Grand Central Station in that condenser. God help me after five years. But, I put it in and it works, Yah !
