This bed is such a great idea! We bought it for the living room of our tiny pied a terre in San Francisco so that we have a second bed in case we have overnight guests. It is perfect for that purpose. That said, there were some issues: The sides are MDF, and they came pretty banged up. WAY too big to return, so I'll do what I can with furniture scratch pens to make it acceptable. The solid wood face %26 top of the cabinet arrived in good condition. It took my husband THREE DAYS to assemble it. And he has assembled dozens of pieces of furniture over the years. He said it was by far the most challenging project he's attempted. The instructions were clear, but just so many pieces and steps (93 of just ONE type of screw out of many types). I am basically worthless in this regard, but there were times he had to call on me to help. Two pieces were assembled wrong in the factory and we thought we'd have to ask the seller to replace them, but it turns out it was an easy fix to unscrew a couple of pieces and screw them into their proper place. This bed would not be appropriate as a an everyday bed. But as a bed to be used a few times a year, it's perfect, considering the low price.
