Brighter than pictured and so much shedding

It's a pretty rug but I found the pattern, especially the pink and yellow, to be bolder than the stock photos suggest. Quality is okay - some of the threads around the borders of the rug are already coming undone, but maybe that's a style thing. The shedding is wild though. I vacuumed per the instructions and after emptying my vacuum canister 6 times finally gave up.
