I chose this particular one as it is gas and it's safe to use on my deck and the size of it was perfect to not take up so much sitting space. It does well with keeping you warm as long as it's not 30° outside and we enjoy the ambience of the flame. We even more cold nights. I have nice big patio chairs though and a curl up in blanket for more warmth. My bf likes to be outside even when it's cold. It was a way for us compromise

My reason for the one star rating on some parts is that I have not opened the box and assembled the product yet so I cannot give a honest opinion. There was a big hole in the box so I'm not sure if there's anything broken yet in the box, it is a Christmas present so it may not be put together until after Christmas.
