My favorite paper

LOVE this paper. It is reasonable priced and tends to stay flat and holds up well. I would love to be someone who paints loose watercolors but I tend to go for simple detail. The hot press lends itself to that perfectly. I have some arches sitting on the shelf because this is my favorite paper.

Great Purchase.

This is wonderful watercolor paper, great for drawing on and using water. It's has a nice, smooth surface. This is 11"x14", a nice size to get plenty on. Also great for Alcohol Markers, they don't bleed through.

Excellent Value; Perfect for Mixing Pen & Watercolor

I need to be clear - I LOVE the Fabriano Studio line of watercolor paper. Most watercolor paper is either cheap and sad 100% cellulose, or glorious but expensive 100% cotton - the Studio line is a super unique 25% cotton paper. Even though it's only 25%, you can really notice a difference in how well your watercolors will behave on it! Obviously, they won't behave as well as on pure cotton, but it's leagues better than every cellulose paper I've tried, and for around half the price of the 100% cotton papers. A great paper for newbies to step up to without breaking the bank, as well as a wonderful paper for pros to keep around for practice and testing colors. The Studio Hot Press paper also has a niche use that's perfect for me - it's *super* smooth! way smoother than the 100% cotton hot press sheets I've tried, just *barely* shy of bristol board smooth. If you specifically like to do lines with a dip pen and paint with watercolors, this paper is wonderful - it's the best compromise I've found for mixing those two media, bar none.
